listening to The Swans can be really hard sometimes. Very few bands dug so deep into darkness...

Hell, I didn't think I was able to "dig into darkness" like that in one of my posts ha ha

Anyway, Jarboe's last album is really worth the listen - even if Phil Anselmo's featuring is just... Well... Sleep

The rest of Jarboe's disco is worth listening to also, despite what so-called "Swans purists" always tend to think and advocate.

His featuring on Jarboe's record is plainly boring. Sounds like he's trying to imitate Alice In Chain's singer... Sleep

I got a DIvX version... AMazing. Swans live were just PERFECt, which is not IMO the case of most of their studio records. My favorite Swans record is actually a live bootleg, Kill The Child...

Well, it's really.. hum... "heavy" but in the good sense of the term.

I have to confess that most of the recent "unreleased" material from LME is strongly influenced by this "doom" mood (even if the heavenly voice remains)

Those are the "demos" that Michael Gira released to cover the costs of the recording of the new SWANS album...
