I got one, it's really easy to use in the "classic" manner, to get this spacey sound... Actually I'm a real bad guitar player, but I enjoy e-bowing for hours.

Oh, by the way, MAO doesn't mean anything in english - it would be something like CAM, I think (computer assisted music ?)

okay thanks for the ebow, I may buy one... I'll think about it anyway. Smile

And for the title, dumb me, I didn't think of that at all, I'll edit.

Juno 6 (Juno 60?) emulation VSTi : http://juno6.gruftie.com/index2.html

I'm looking for more Juno's emulations if you happen to know some... looking for instance for the 106 or the 2... don't really know the real synths, so don't know the differences or similitudes of theses synths...

It's like a mini-kaoss pad no? A girl used this before the pink dots gig (yellow version)

it's like a groovebox that you control like a kaoss pad to create loops.

it contains 100 sounds (synths -lead,bass,pad...-, drums, FX..) that you play with your finger on the pad.
So you play a beat, you loop it, you add a bassline loop, then a lead synth, some fxsounds.... Like loops-pedals for guitar.
You can select the scale and the key, so anywhere you touch the pad it wont be wrong (a bit like harmonica), what is great for improvisation.
It also contains arpegiator with a lot of patterns.
Of course you chose BPM and lenght of loops.
You can use batteries and travel the world with it (just need earphones) !

good :
- very instinctive, new way of playing music, can be a source of inspiration
- very good sounds (based on the Korg Radias/R3 synths)
- portable
- fun as a gadget but also interesting as an instrument
- fair price (140/150€ and around 100 in second hand)

bad :
- no Midi. Just for synchronizing it could have been great (example : for Kaossilator battles with friends..)
- no metronome. you have to read the beat on the screen and count in your head (not hard, but i would have been easier with metronome)
- no memory and no separate tracks but it's not a professional machine (the price is not the same), its a funny toy for playing music and based on an "ephemere" concept (so when you create a good loop you dont want to turn off the machine Laughing )

That could be interesting for live improvized assaults, I guess...
