All of them, except Ghost Of Mars that i found boring. I L.O.V.E. John Carpenter.

My fave: Christine, The Thing, They Live, Assault on Predinct 13, Escape from New ork and LA, Body Bags short stories, Prince Of Darkness, In The Mouth Of Darkness...

For me there is The Thing far before all the rest. It's the only "classic" movie in History of cinema. Not just an horror movie, SF movie but a great film.

Escape from New York because it's THE Carpenter's movie.

Christine is cool

and some stuff from the others :

in the mouth of darkness is quite original

Prince of Darkness for the first scene and music.

They Live is cool too.

Fro me all the rest have no interest and some of them are pure shit (escape from LA, Ghost of Mars, Starman, invisible man...) .

Don't see Assault, Village of the damned, Vampires and body bags.

There is something which bound every Carpenter's movies, good or bad, i'll describe it as a weird alchemy between music and editing . It doesn't matter what kind of story he wants to tell us, he always adds this strange perception of time and space. No matter if you take Assault, The thing or They live (for the good) or even Ghost of mars, the fog or Prince of Darkness (the not so good) it's always there floatting .
The best of him is of course The thing, Assault, Escape from NY and In the mouth of madness but the two i prefer are They Live and Big trouble in little china, i thing because i loved the way the story gradualy slide from reality to fantastic or sci-fi ...

But the real question is, who tick Pro-life and Memoirs of an invisible man ????

But above all what i have to say is: he's a GREAT music composer too...
